Networking and Power for Your Mini PC

Switches, SFP+ modules, network adapters and UPS units, matched to the network ports and power supply your mini PC has.

What to look for

A switch works with any mini PC that has a wired network port, and the link runs at the slower end: a 10GbE switch on a 2.5GbE machine connects at 2.5GbE, and the row says so. SFP+ modules and DAC cables need an SFP+ port, which only a few machines have, such as the MINISFORUM MS-01 and MS-A2. A UPS fits any machine; where the maker states the power supply's wattage, the row sets it against the UPS rating.

Pick your machine and the list becomes the parts that fit it, with the reason beside each one.

Do I need a 10GbE switch?

Only if your mini PC has a 10GbE port. On a 2.5GbE machine a 10GbE switch still works, but the link runs at 2.5GbE. Set the selector above and each row says which end sets the speed.

What is an SFP+ module for?

An SFP+ port takes a module or a cable rather than a plain network lead: an SR or LR optic for fibre, a DAC cable for a short run to a switch, or a 10GBASE-T module for an RJ45 lead. A 10GBASE-T module draws more power and reaches less far than an optic or a DAC; each row gives the maker's reach.

Which UPS suits my mini PC?

One rated above everything that shares it: the mini PC's power supply plus a switch or a monitor. Where the maker states the power supply's wattage, the row shows it against the UPS rating, and each row says whether the UPS gives a pure sine wave on battery.
