Plugable 2.5G USB-C and USB to Ethernet Adapter
Part numberUSBC-E2500
The short answer
The Plugable USBC-E2500 is a 2.5G Ethernet adapter that gives a mini PC a wired network port from a USB-C or USB connection. Plugable gives its host connection as TB5. It is for an owner whose machine has a USB4 or Thunderbolt port and who wants a wired 2.5G link.
Specifications
The network port is 2.5G, so a mini PC with this adapter can use a 2.5G wired link. Its ports are 2-in-1, matching the USB-C and USB in its name. The host connection is TB5, though the USB4 machines named above only run it at 40 Gbps. The part number is USBC-E2500, useful for matching the exact model when you shop.

Which mini PCs it fits
The deciding rule is the port: this adapter needs a USB4 or Thunderbolt port on the machine. It does not fit the Beelink EQ14, the Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 or the GMKtec G11 Plus, because none of them has one. The HP Z2 Mini G1a, the MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro and the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro fit with a caveat: their USB4 port runs it at 40 Gbps, not 80. For the Beelink GTi14 Ultra and the GMKtec NucBox G10, we have not confirmed it fits, because we do not know what USB4 ports they have.

Before you buy
The USB4 machines named above run this adapter at 40 Gbps, not 80, and machines without a USB4 or Thunderbolt port are out entirely. Plugable does not state power delivery, so do not count on the adapter passing power through.
Common questions
Will it work in a mini PC without USB4 or Thunderbolt?
No. It needs a USB4 or Thunderbolt port, and the Beelink EQ14, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and GMKtec G11 Plus do not have one, so it does not fit them.
What speed does it run at on a USB4 port?
On the HP Z2 Mini G1a, MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro and ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro it fits with a caveat: the USB4 port runs it at 40 Gbps, not 80.
How fast is the network port?
The network port is 2.5G, so it gives a mini PC a 2.5G wired connection. Plugable does not state whether the adapter supports power delivery.
