Crucial DDR5-5600 SODIMM 32GB Kit

Part numberCT2K16G56C46S5

The short answer

CL46 latency and 5600 MT/s define this Crucial kit, two 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM modules that add up to 32 GB. It suits a mini PC owner whose machine takes DDR5 SODIMM modules and who wants a matched pair of sticks to fill its memory.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is simple: a DDR5 SODIMM kit goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. The MINISFORUM UM890 Pro, ACEMAGIC F3A, ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 and Beelink GTi14 Ultra take it. The ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i take it too, with the memory running at 5600 MT/s. The Beelink ME mini, GEEKOM A9 Mega and GMKtec EVO-X2 have soldered memory, so there is no socket for a module.

We have not confirmed the fit for the MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Pro (its maximum memory is not established) or the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro (we cannot say whether its memory is soldered).

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.com, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Not confirmed (2)

Does not fit (13)

  • ACEMAGIC V1: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Apple Mac mini (M6): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink ME mini: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink Mini S12 Pro: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • BOSGAME M5: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GEEKOM A9 Mega: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X2: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X3: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec NucBox G3S: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • MSI MAX Edge AI+: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

The kit is non-ECC, so look elsewhere if you need error correction. Confirm your machine has DDR5 SODIMM sockets rather than soldered memory before buying, because soldered machines cannot take it at all.

Common questions

Will this kit work in a mini PC with soldered memory?

No. The Beelink ME mini, GEEKOM A9 Mega and GMKtec EVO-X2 have memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

What kind of memory is this kit?

It is DDR5 SODIMM, two 16 GB modules for 32 GB in total, running at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, so it needs a DDR5 SODIMM socket.

Is this ECC memory?

No. This kit is non-ECC memory, so it gives no error correction in a mini PC, even in a machine whose sockets accept DDR5 SODIMM modules.
