Part numberF5-4800S3434A16GA2-RS

The short answer

G.Skill's Ripjaws kit pairs two 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM modules for 32 GB in total, running at 4800 MT/s with CL34 latency. It is for a mini PC owner whose machine has DDR5 SODIMM sockets and who wants non-ECC memory to fill them.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is that a DDR5 SODIMM kit goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. Examples that fit are the MINISFORUM MS-01, ASUS NUC 14 Performance, Beelink GTi14 Ultra and GEEKOM A8 Max. The Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5, ACEMAGIC F3A and ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 take it with a caveat: it runs at 4800 MT/s there. The GMKtec NucBox K13, HP Z2 Mini G1a and Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 6 have soldered memory, so there is no socket. We have not confirmed the fit for the MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Pro or ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.com, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Fits, with a note (3)

Not confirmed (2)

Does not fit (13)

  • ACEMAGIC V1: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Apple Mac mini (M6): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink ME mini: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink Mini S12 Pro: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • BOSGAME M5: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GEEKOM A9 Mega: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X2: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X3: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec NucBox G3S: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • MSI MAX Edge AI+: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

Confirm your machine has SODIMM sockets, since soldered memory cannot take a module. For the MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Pro we could not confirm the maximum memory, and for the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro whether the memory is soldered. In the Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5, ACEMAGIC F3A and ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 the kit runs at 4800 MT/s.

Common questions

Will this kit work in a mini PC with soldered memory?

No. Where memory is soldered to the board, as on the GMKtec NucBox K13, there is no socket to put a module in, so this SODIMM kit cannot be installed.

Is this ECC memory?

No. The kit is non-ECC DDR5 SODIMM, two 16 GB modules, 32 GB in total, so it is for machines that take standard SODIMM memory rather than error-correcting modules.

What speed does it run at?

It is a 4800 MT/s kit with CL34 latency, and in the Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5, ACEMAGIC F3A and ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 it runs at 4800 MT/s.
