Specifications

Two 16 GB modules give 32 GB in total, so you want a machine with two SODIMM sockets to use the whole kit. The kit is DDR5 at 5600 MT/s with CL40 latency. It is non-ECC, so if your machine needs ECC modules, this is not the kit for it.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is that a DDR5 SODIMM kit goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. It fits the GEEKOM A8 Max, GMKtec K12, HP Z2 Mini G9 and Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5.

The ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i fit with a caveat: the memory runs at 5600 MT/s. The Beelink ME mini, GEEKOM A9 Mega and GMKtec EVO-X2 do not fit, because their memory is soldered and there is no socket. We have not confirmed the fit for the Beelink EQi13 or MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.com, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

  • ACEMAGIC V1: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Apple Mac mini (M6): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink ME mini: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink Mini S12 Pro: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • BOSGAME M5: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GEEKOM A9 Mega: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X2: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X3: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec NucBox G3S: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • MSI MAX Edge AI+: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

Check for a socket first: some mini PCs solder their memory, and a SODIMM kit cannot go in those. On the machines with a caveat, the kit runs at 5600 MT/s. For the Beelink EQi13 and MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro, confirm the memory type and maximum memory with the maker before buying.

Common questions

Is this ECC memory?

No. This G.Skill kit is not ECC memory; it is a DDR5 SODIMM kit of two 16 GB modules, 32 GB in total.

Will it work in a mini PC with soldered memory?

No. Machines such as the Beelink ME mini, GEEKOM A9 Mega and GMKtec EVO-X2 have memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket for a module.

What speed does it run at?

The kit is DDR5 at 5600 MT/s with CL40 latency, and in the ASUS ROG NUC 16 it runs at 5600 MT/s.
