Kingston FURY Impact DDR4-3200 8GB

Part numberKF432S20IB/8

The short answer

Kingston's FURY Impact KF432S20IB/8 is a single 8 GB DDR4 SODIMM memory module, made for a mini PC owner whose machine has a DDR4 SODIMM socket. It runs at 3200 MT/s with CL20 latency and is not ECC memory. It comes as one module, not a pair.

Specifications

This is one 8 GB module, so it adds 8 GB in total and fills a single socket. It runs at 3200 MT/s with CL20 latency. It has no ECC. Match the DDR4 generation to your machine, since a DDR5 machine such as the ASUS NUC 14 Pro will not take it. The part number is KF432S20IB/8, handy for checking you are buying this exact module.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is simple: a DDR4 SODIMM module goes in a DDR4 SODIMM socket. Examples that fit are the GMKtec NucBox G3S, ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro, Beelink EQ14 and GMKtec NucBox M5 Plus. The ASUS NUC 14 Pro does not fit, because it takes DDR5. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) and BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra have soldered memory, so there is no socket for a module. We have not confirmed the fit for the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, since we cannot say whether its memory is soldered, or for the Beelink EQi12, since its maximum memory is not confirmed.

Before you buy

Before buying, check that your machine takes DDR4 rather than DDR5, and that its memory sits in a socket rather than being soldered. Also check your machine's maximum supported memory, which we have not confirmed for the Beelink EQi12.

Common questions

Will this module work in a DDR5 mini PC?

No. A DDR4 module does not go in a DDR5 machine; the ASUS NUC 14 Pro, for example, takes DDR5, not DDR4, so this module does not fit it.

Is this ECC memory?

No. This is a single 8 GB DDR4 SODIMM module without ECC, so it is standard memory for a socket of that type, running at 3200 MT/s with CL20 latency.

Can I upgrade a Mac Studio with it?

No. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) has its memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket for a module, and the BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra is the same.
