Part numberKF564S38IBK2-32

The short answer

Non-ECC DDR5 at 6400 MT/s is what the Kingston FURY Impact DDR5-6400 32GB Kit offers, as two 16 GB SODIMM modules for 32 GB in total. It is for a mini PC owner whose machine has DDR5 SODIMM sockets and who wants to fill them with a two-module kit.

Specifications

The kit totals 32 GB, as 2 modules of 16 GB each. It is specified at 6400 MT/s with CL38 latency. The modules are SODIMM, the compact size, and the memory is DDR5 without ECC, so it is ordinary non-ECC memory. With two modules in the kit, a machine needs two SODIMM sockets to use both.

Which mini PCs it fits

A DDR5 SODIMM module goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket, so your machine needs that socket type, not soldered memory. The GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra, HP Z2 Mini G1i, Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 and MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro fit. The GMKtec G11 Plus does not, because it takes DDR4, not DDR5. The HP Z2 Mini G1a and Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 6 have memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket. For the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro and Beelink EQi13 we have not confirmed the fit, because whether their memory is soldered is not known.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.com, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Does not fit (13)

  • ACEMAGIC V1: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Apple Mac mini (M6): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink ME mini: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink Mini S12 Pro: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • BOSGAME M5: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GEEKOM A9 Mega: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X2: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X3: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec NucBox G3S: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • MSI MAX Edge AI+: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

Check your machine's memory type first: a DDR4 machine cannot use this kit, and a machine with soldered memory has no socket to put it in. For the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro and Beelink EQi13, find out whether the memory is soldered before buying. The kit is non-ECC, so it will not suit a setup that needs ECC.

Common questions

Will this kit work in a DDR4 mini PC?

No. This kit is DDR5 SODIMM, and a machine like the GMKtec G11 Plus takes DDR4, not DDR5, so the modules do not match its sockets.

Is this memory ECC?

No. It is non-ECC DDR5 SODIMM, two 16 GB modules for 32 GB in total, so check that your machine does not require ECC before you buy it.

Can I upgrade an HP Z2 Mini G1a with it?

No. The HP Z2 Mini G1a has its memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket for a module. The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 6 is the same.
