Specifications

At 2048 GB it is a lot of storage for a single slot. Sequential read is 14700 MB/s and sequential write is 14000 MB/s, though a slower slot caps both. Endurance is 2000 TBW. It has a DRAM cache and is single-sided. No heatsink is fitted, so cooling is up to your machine's slot or a heatsink you add yourself.

Which mini PCs it fits

An M.2 2280 NVMe drive needs an M.2 2280 slot, and this PCIe 5.0 drive only reaches full speed where the slot does too. It fits, for example, the Beelink GTi14 Ultra, GEEKOM A8 Max, GMKtec NucBox G3 and HP Z2 Mini G1i. BOSGAME M5 and Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 run it at PCIe 4.0 speed, and Beelink EQ14 at PCIe 3.0 speed. The Mac mini (M6) has no M.2 slot. We have not confirmed the fit for the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, because its number of M.2 slots is not known.

Before you buy

Check how your machine cools its M.2 slot before buying, since this drive comes without a heatsink. In some machines the slot limits it to PCIe 4.0 or PCIe 3.0 speed, so you would not see the headline figures. The Apple Mac mini and Mac Studio models named above have no M.2 slot at all.

Common questions

Will it work in a slot slower than PCIe 5.0?

In some machines, yes. The BOSGAME M5 and Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 take it but run it at PCIe 4.0 speed, below the PCIe 5.0 interface the drive offers.

Does it come with a heatsink?

No. The Kingston FURY Renegade G5 2TB has no heatsink fitted, so cooling depends on your machine's slot or a heatsink you add yourself.

Can I put it in a Mac mini?

No. The Apple Mac mini (M6) has no M.2 slot, so this M.2 2280 drive does not fit it, and the same goes for the Mac mini (M5 Pro).
