The short answer
WD's WD_BLACK SN8100 2TB is a 2 TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD on PCIe 5.0, made for a mini PC owner with a free slot of that size who wants a very fast drive. Its sequential read is 14900 MB/s and its sequential write 14000 MB/s. It comes without a heatsink.
Specifications
Capacity is 2 TB. Sequential read is 14900 MB/s and sequential write 14000 MB/s over a PCIe 5.0 interface. The drive has a DRAM cache, and WD gives an endurance of 1200 TBW, meaning 1200 terabytes of writes. It is single-sided, and its part number is WDS200T1X0M.

Which mini PCs it fits
An M.2 2280 NVMe drive goes in an M.2 2280 slot, and the slot has to be free. The GEEKOM A8 Max, GMKtec NucBox G3, HP Z2 Mini G1i and Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 take it. The Beelink EQi12, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and GEEKOM A9 Mega take it too, but run it at PCIe 4.0 speed. The Apple Mac mini (M6) has no M.2 slot, so it does not fit. We have not confirmed the fit for the NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395 or the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, because we lack their number of M.2 slots.
Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.com, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy
No heatsink is fitted, so check what cooling your machine's slot offers before you buy. In a slot that runs it at PCIe 4.0 speed, as on the Beelink EQi12, expect less than the quoted speeds. If your machine is not named here, confirm it has a free M.2 2280 slot.
Common questions
Does the WD_BLACK SN8100 2TB come with a heatsink?
No. WD fits no heatsink to this drive. If your mini PC's slot has no cooling, plan to add one before relying on a drive with a sequential write of 14000 MB/s.
Will it reach full speed in my mini PC?
It is a PCIe 5.0 drive with a sequential read of 14900 MB/s. In the Beelink EQi12, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and GEEKOM A9 Mega it runs at PCIe 4.0 speed instead.
Can I put it in a Mac mini?
No. The Apple Mac mini (M6) has no M.2 slot, so an M.2 2280 drive has nowhere to go. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) has none either.
