Which mini PCs it fits

The dock needs a USB4 or Thunderbolt port on the mini PC. The ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, ASUS NUC 14 Performance and Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) connect through a USB-C port, but their USB4 ports run the dock at 40 Gbps, not 80.

The GMKtec NucBox K10, HP Z2 Mini G1i and Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 do not fit, because none has a USB4 or Thunderbolt port. We have not confirmed the fit for the MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Pro or the MSI MAX Edge AI+.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy

Check your port before buying. On machines that connect with a caveat, the dock runs at 40 Gbps, so the 80Gb/s host link is not reached. A machine without USB4 or Thunderbolt cannot use it at all. For the two machines we have not confirmed, the answer depends on their USB4 ports.

Common questions

Will it work with a mini PC that has a USB4 port?

Yes, over a USB-C port, but the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, ASUS NUC 14 Performance and Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) run it at 40 Gbps on their USB4 port, not 80.

Does the dock have Ethernet and card readers?

Yes. It has one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, alongside two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports at 10Gb/s, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, and SDXC and microSDXC UHS-II card slots.

Can I use it on a mini PC without Thunderbolt?

No. It needs a USB4 or Thunderbolt port, and the GMKtec NucBox K10, HP Z2 Mini G1i and Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 do not have one, so it does not fit them.
