TESmart CKS201-M23 2-Port USB-C KVM Switch 8K60, UK plug

Part numberCKS201-M23-UKBK

The same part under other regional numbers: CKS201-M23-EUBK, CKS201-M23-USBK

The short answer

The TESmart CKS201-M23 (part number CKS201-M23-UKBK, UK plug) is a KVM switch for two computers, with USB-C video. It is for a mini PC owner who wants to switch between two machines, as long as each one has a USB-C port that outputs video.

Specifications

It handles two computers and takes their video over USB-C. The name carries 8K60, but the resolution you actually get depends on your display and on what each machine's USB-C output supports, so check the maker's own page before planning around it. The part number CKS201-M23-UKBK marks this UK plug version, which matters if you order from another region.

Which mini PCs it fits

Video travels over USB-C, so each computer needs a USB-C port with display output. The ACEMAGIC K1 (Intel), ASUS ExpertCenter PN65, Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) and BOSGAME M5 fit for that reason.

The Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2, ACEMAGIC S1 and HP Z2 Mini G1i have no USB-C with DisplayPort output, so they do not fit. For the MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro and MSI MAX Edge AI+, we have not confirmed it fits, as their USB-C display output is unconfirmed.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy

Check that each machine's USB-C port outputs video before you buy, because a USB-C port alone is not enough. TESmart does not state the port layout. Fit is also unconfirmed for the two machines named above as not confirmed.

Common questions

Will it work with my mini PC?

Each computer needs a USB-C port with display output. The ACEMAGIC K1 (Intel) and BOSGAME M5 have one, while the ACEMAGIC S1 does not have USB-C with DisplayPort output.

How many computers can I connect?

Two. This is a 2-computer KVM switch that takes video over USB-C, so both machines you connect need a USB-C port that outputs video.

Does TESmart state the port layout?

TESmart does not state the ports, so check the maker's specification page before buying if you need a particular connector for your keyboard, mouse or display.
