EIZO ColorEdge CS2400S

Part numberCS2400S

The same part under other regional numbers: CS2400S-BK

The short answer

USB-C video with 70 W of power delivery is what stands out on the EIZO ColorEdge CS2400S, a 24.1" IPS monitor running 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. It suits a mini PC owner whose machine has a USB-C, DisplayPort or HDMI output to feed it.

The monitor's 70 W power delivery will not run the mini PC.

Specifications

The panel is IPS at 1920x1200 and 60 Hz, 24.1" across. It has one USB-C input with DP Alt Mode and HDCP 2.3, one DisplayPort and one HDMI. The USB-C port carries video and 70 W of power delivery, so a compatible device can get picture and charge over one cable. A VESA mount is supported, so you can use a compatible arm or bracket instead of the stand.

Which mini PCs it fits

A monitor needs a video output on the mini PC that matches one of its inputs, and this one takes USB-C with DP Alt Mode, DisplayPort or HDMI. The GEEKOM A9 Mega, GMKtec EVO-X2, HP Z2 Mini G1a and Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 fit, each with an output that matches. The GMKtec EVO-X3 and BOSGAME M5 work with a caveat: the monitor's 70 W power delivery will not run those mini PCs. For the MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Pro and MSI MAX Edge AI+, we have not confirmed the fit, because their HDMI outputs are not confirmed.

Before you buy

The 70 W of power delivery will not run the GMKtec EVO-X3 or the BOSGAME M5, so those still need their own power supply. EIZO does not state the DisplayPort or HDMI version, a Thunderbolt input, a built-in KVM switch, daisy chain out, HDR, an HDR certification or speakers.

Common questions

Can the USB-C port power my mini PC?

The USB-C port delivers 70 W, which will not run the GMKtec EVO-X3 or the BOSGAME M5, so those machines still need their own power supply.

Does it have speakers or HDR?

EIZO does not state whether it has speakers, HDR or an HDR certification, so check with the maker before counting on any of them in your mini PC setup.

Which video inputs does it have?

It has one USB-C input with DP Alt Mode, one DisplayPort and one HDMI, so your mini PC needs a matching video output to drive it.
