Philips 27E1N1600AM

Part number27E1N1600AM/00

The same part under other regional numbers: 27E1N1600AM

The short answer

Speakers are built into the Philips 27E1N1600AM, a 27" monitor with a 2560x1440 resolution and a 100 Hz refresh rate. It takes video over HDMI or USB-C, which suits a mini PC owner who wants a sharp desk display and a one-cable option for a machine with a USB-C video output.

The monitor's 65 W power delivery will not run the mini PC.

Specifications

The 27" screen runs 2560x1440 at 100 Hz. HDMI and USB-C are the video inputs, and the USB-C port both carries video and supplies 65 W of power delivery. Built-in speakers mean basic audio needs no extra hardware.

Which mini PCs it fits

A monitor needs a matching output on the mini PC; this one takes HDMI or video over USB-C. It fits the ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro, ASUS ExpertCenter PN65, Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) and BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra, which have a matching output. The GMKtec EVO-X3, HP Z2 Mini G1a and BOSGAME M5 fit, but the 65 W of power delivery will not run them. The Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250, HP Z2 Mini G1i and Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2 have no matching output, so it does not fit them. Fit is not confirmed for the MSI MAX Edge AI+ and NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395.

Before you buy

The 65 W over USB-C will not run the mini PCs named above with that caveat. Philips does not state the panel type, HDMI or DisplayPort version, Thunderbolt input, KVM switch, daisy chain output, HDR support or certification, or VESA mount, so check mounting before you buy an arm.

Common questions

Can the USB-C port power my mini PC?

It delivers 65 W over USB-C, which will not run the GMKtec EVO-X3, HP Z2 Mini G1a or BOSGAME M5. Those machines still need their own power supply.

Does it have a VESA mount?

Philips does not state whether this monitor has a VESA mount, so confirm that before you buy a monitor arm or a wall bracket.

Which video inputs does it have?

It has HDMI and USB-C, and the USB-C port accepts video. Philips does not state the HDMI version, so check your mini PC's output against that.
