Crucial DDR4-3200 SODIMM 8GB

Part numberCT8G4SFRA32A

The short answer

Crucial's CT8G4SFRA32A is one 8 GB DDR4 SODIMM module running at 3200 MT/s. It is for a mini PC owner whose machine has a DDR4 SODIMM socket and who wants to add or swap in a plain, non-ECC module. The kit holds one module, so it is a single-stick option rather than a pair.

Specifications

Capacity is 8 GB, all on one module, so this is a single stick rather than a matched pair. It runs at 3200 MT/s with CL22 latency. It is DDR4 in the SODIMM form, and it has no ECC, meaning no error correction.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is simple: a DDR4 SODIMM module goes in a DDR4 SODIMM socket. The ACEMAGIC V1, Beelink EQ14, GMKtec G11 Plus and Beelink EQR5 are examples of machines it fits. It does not fit the BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra, BOSGAME M5 or Beelink EQR6, because their memory is soldered to the board and there is no socket for a module. For the Beelink EQi12 and ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, we have not confirmed whether it fits.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Not confirmed (2)

  • Beelink EQi12: Not confirmed: no record of this machine's maximum memory.
  • Beelink EQi13: Not confirmed: no record of whether this machine's memory is soldered.

Before you buy

Check that your machine has a memory socket at all, because soldered-memory models like the ones above cannot take any module. This is one 8 GB module without ECC, so do not expect error correction. Look up the memory details of the Beelink EQi12 and ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro before ordering, since we have not confirmed the fit.

Common questions

Can I use it in a mini PC with soldered memory?

No. The BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra, BOSGAME M5 and Beelink EQR6 have memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Is this module ECC?

No. It is a non-ECC DDR4 SODIMM, supplied as a kit of 1 module with 8 GB total, so it is a plain single stick.

What speed and latency does it have?

It runs at 3200 MT/s with CL22 latency. Because it is DDR4 SODIMM, it only goes in a machine with DDR4 SODIMM sockets, not one built for another memory generation.
