Crucial DDR5-5600 SODIMM 16GB

Part numberCT16G56C46S5

The short answer

Non-ECC DDR5 at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, the Crucial DDR5-5600 SODIMM 16GB is a single 16 GB SODIMM stick for a mini PC owner whose machine has a DDR5 SODIMM socket. It comes as one module, so it adds 16 GB in one socket.

Specifications

You get 16 GB in a single module, so one socket carries all of it. The speed is 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, and the module is non-ECC.

The part number is CT16G56C46S5, which is the one to match if you want to be sure you are buying this exact module. What counts for your machine is a socket that takes DDR5 SODIMM, not the speed alone.

Which mini PCs it fits

A DDR5 SODIMM module goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. It fits the GMKtec NucBox M6, HP Z2 Mini G9, Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 and MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro.

The ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i fit with a caveat: it runs at 5600 MT/s there. The ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro takes DDR4, and the Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max) and BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra have soldered memory, so none of them fits. We have not confirmed the fit for the Beelink EQi13 or MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy

Check that your machine really has a DDR5 SODIMM socket before buying: DDR4 machines and machines with soldered memory cannot take it.

On the ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i it runs at 5600 MT/s. We have not confirmed it fits the MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro.

Common questions

Will this memory work in my mini PC?

It works if your machine has a DDR5 SODIMM socket. DDR4 machines such as the ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro, and ones with soldered memory such as the Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max), cannot take it.

Is this ECC memory?

No. This Crucial module, part number CT16G56C46S5, is non-ECC DDR5 SODIMM memory, so it is ordinary memory rather than error-correcting, sold as a single 16 GB stick.

What speed does it run at?

The module runs at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency. In the ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i it also runs at 5600 MT/s.
