Crucial DDR5-5600 SODIMM 32GB

Part numberCT32G56C46S5

The short answer

Meant for a mini PC owner whose machine takes DDR5 SODIMM memory, this Crucial module (part number CT32G56C46S5) puts 32 GB on one stick at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency. It is non-ECC and comes as a single module, so it fills one socket.

Specifications

You get 32 GB from one module. Speed is 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, the figures to compare against what your machine supports. The module is non-ECC, ordinary memory without error correction. It is DDR5 in the SODIMM format, so it will not go in a DDR4 socket. The part number is CT32G56C46S5.

Which mini PCs it fits

A DDR5 SODIMM module goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 5, MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro, ACEMAGIC F3A and ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 take it. So do the ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i, where it runs at 5600 MT/s. The Apple Mac mini (M6), BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra and BOSGAME M5 do not take it, because their memory is soldered and there is no socket. For the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro and Beelink EQi13, we have not confirmed it fits, since we do not know whether their memory is soldered.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Fits (19)

Fits, with a note (5)

Not confirmed (1)

  • Beelink EQi13: Not confirmed: no record of whether this machine's memory is soldered.

Does not fit (18)

  • ACEMAGIC S1: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Apple Mac mini (M5 Pro): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Apple Mac mini (M6): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max): The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink EQ14: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Beelink EQi12: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Beelink EQR5: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • Beelink EQR6: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Beelink ME mini: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • BOSGAME M5: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GEEKOM A9 Mega: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec EVO-X2: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec M8: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • GMKtec NucBox G10: This machine takes DDR4, not DDR5.
  • GMKtec NucBox K13: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • HP Z2 Mini G1a: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 6: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.
  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

Confirm your machine has a memory socket before buying, because soldered memory cannot take a module. In the ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i it runs at 5600 MT/s, so check the speed your own machine supports. Because it is non-ECC, it is the wrong choice if you need error correction.

Common questions

Will it work in a mini PC with soldered memory?

No. Soldered memory leaves no socket for a module, as with the Apple Mac mini (M6), BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra and BOSGAME M5.

Is it DDR4 or DDR5, and how fast is it?

It is a DDR5 SODIMM module, so it only goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. It runs at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, and one module holds 32 GB.

Is this ECC memory?

No. This Crucial module is non-ECC memory, so if your workload calls for error-correcting memory, you will need a different module.
