Kingston FURY Impact DDR4-3200 32GB

Part numberKF432S20IB/32

The short answer

One 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM stick is what Kingston's FURY Impact amounts to, running at 3200 MT/s with CL20 latency. It suits a mini PC owner whose machine takes DDR4 SODIMMs and who wants all of the capacity on a single module.

Specifications

Everything sits on one module: 32 GB, so the machine needs only a single SODIMM socket to use it. The speed is 3200 MT/s with CL20 latency. The memory is non-ECC. The part number is KF432S20IB/32, which is handy for matching an order to the right stick.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is simple: a DDR4 SODIMM module goes in a DDR4 SODIMM socket, and it cannot go in a machine whose memory is soldered. The GMKtec NucBox G3, ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro, Beelink EQR5 and GMKtec NucBox G3 Plus are examples where it fits. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Ultra), BMAX MaxMini B4 Ultra and BOSGAME M5 have memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket for a module. We have not confirmed the fit for the Beelink EQi13 or the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, because we cannot say whether their memory is soldered.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy

Before you buy, check that your machine uses DDR4 SODIMM and has a socket rather than soldered memory. For the machines named as fits, no caveat applies. Also look in your machine's manual for the largest module it accepts.

Common questions

Is this DDR4 or DDR5 memory?

It is DDR4 in the SODIMM format, so it belongs in a DDR4 SODIMM socket. A machine built for DDR5 needs a DDR5 module instead of this one.

Will it work in the Apple Mac Studio?

No. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Ultra) has its memory soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Is it one stick or a pair?

It is a single 32 GB module, not a pair of smaller ones, so one SODIMM socket holds all of the capacity. It runs at 3200 MT/s.
