Kingston ValueRAM DDR5-5600 SODIMM 32GB

Part numberKVR56S46BD8-32

The short answer

Plain non-ECC DDR5 in a single stick: the Kingston ValueRAM is one 32 GB SODIMM module running at 5600 MT/s. It suits a mini PC owner whose machine has a DDR5 SODIMM socket and who wants to add or swap in 32 GB of memory with one module.

Specifications

This is one 32 GB module, not a pair. It runs at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency, and the part number is KVR56S46BD8-32. It is not ECC memory, so it is ordinary memory rather than an error-correcting module.

Because it is a single module, it fills one socket, and a second socket would need a second stick bought separately.

Which mini PCs it fits

The rule is simple: a DDR5 SODIMM module goes in a DDR5 SODIMM socket. It fits the MINISFORUM UM890 Pro, ACEMAGIC F3A, ASUS ExpertCenter PN65 and Beelink GTi14 Ultra. It also fits the ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i, where it runs at 5600 MT/s.

The Beelink ME mini, GEEKOM A9 Mega and GMKtec EVO-X2 have soldered memory, so there is no socket. For the Beelink EQi13 and MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro, we have not confirmed it fits.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

  • MINISFORUM MS-S1 Max: The memory is soldered to the board, so there is no socket to put a module in.

Before you buy

Confirm your machine has a memory socket at all, since some mini PCs solder the memory to the board. For the Beelink EQi13, check whether its memory is soldered, and for the MINISFORUM AtomMan G1 Pro, check its maximum memory. The ASUS ROG NUC 16, Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 and HP Z2 Mini G1i run this module at 5600 MT/s.

Common questions

Will this memory fit my mini PC?

It fits if your machine has a DDR5 SODIMM socket, because this is a DDR5 SODIMM module. Machines with soldered memory, such as the GMKtec EVO-X2, have no socket to use.

Is this ECC memory?

No. This module is not ECC, so look at a different part if your machine needs error-correcting memory. It is a single 32 GB DDR5 SODIMM stick.

Does it come as a pair of modules?

No. This kit contains 1 module with 32 GB of capacity, so you get a single stick rather than a matched pair of smaller modules.
