The short answer

A free M.2 2280 slot and a spare terabyte are all the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB (part number MZ-V9S1T0BW) asks of a mini PC. It is an NVMe SSD on PCIe 4.0 with a sequential read of 7150 MB/s, and it has no heatsink fitted.

Specifications

Capacity is 1 TB. Sequential read is 7150 MB/s on a PCIe 4.0 interface, and the slot has to offer that interface too: in the PCIe 3.0 machines above, the drive runs at the slot's slower speed. No heatsink is fitted, so check whether your machine cools the drive itself or has room for one.

Which mini PCs it fits

An M.2 2280 NVMe drive goes in an M.2 2280 slot. It fits the Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2, MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro, MSI MAX Edge AI+ and ACEMAGIC F3A. The Beelink EQ14, GMKtec G11 Plus and ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro take it, but at PCIe 3.0 speed. The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Max), Mac Studio (M5 Ultra) and Mac mini (M5 Pro) have no M.2 slot, so it does not fit. We have not confirmed it fits the NIMO Mini PC Desktop AI Max+ 395 or the ACEMAGIC AM08 Pro, since how many M.2 slots they have is not confirmed.

Checked against every mini PC sold on amazon.co.uk, from the specifications we hold for each machine.

Before you buy

Samsung does not state the sequential write speed, the endurance, whether the drive has a DRAM cache or whether it is single-sided. Check your machine's slot generation before you buy, since some of the machines named run this drive at PCIe 3.0 speed.

Common questions

Will it run at full speed in a Beelink EQ14?

It fits, but the slot runs it at PCIe 3.0 speed, so the drive cannot use the PCIe 4.0 interface it is built for. The GMKtec G11 Plus and ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro are the same.

Can I use it in a Mac mini?

Not in the Apple Mac mini (M5 Pro): that machine has no M.2 slot, so this M.2 2280 drive does not fit. The same goes for the two Mac Studio models named.

Does it come with a heatsink?

No, it has no heatsink fitted. If your mini PC's slot has no cover or cooling of its own, you will need to sort that out separately.
